Zovi ("we," "our," or "us") is operated by Circl Technologies LLC. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Zovi mobile application and website (thezovi.com). By using Zovi, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
2. Information We Collect
Information you provide
- Account information (username, email address, password)
- Profile information (profile photo, bio)
- Content you create (posts, photos, text)
- Content you import (links from TikTok, Instagram, YouTube)
- Messages you send via Direct Messages
- Reports you submit about other users or content
Information collected automatically
- Device type and operating system
- App usage data (screens viewed, features used)
- Engagement data (likes, saves, imports)
- IP address and general location (country/region only)
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Create and manage your account
- Build and personalize your Personal Feed
- Compile your Group Feed automatically each night
- Suggest people you may want to follow
- Send notifications about group feed updates, DMs, and follow requests
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and policy violations
- Improve the app and fix bugs
- Respond to your support requests
We do not:
- Sell your personal information to third parties
- Show you advertisements
- Share your data with advertisers
- Use your imported content as posts or share it publicly
4. Imported Content
When you import a link from TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, or another platform, that content is used exclusively to build your personal taste profile. Imported content:
- Is never posted or shared publicly
- Never appears in any feed (Personal, Group, or Discover)
- Never visible to other users including your group members
- Only updates your internal interest weights to improve recommendations
5. Group Feed Privacy
Your Group Feed is private by default:
- Only visible to members of that specific group
- Never surfaced in Discover or public feeds
- Group membership is invite-only
- Leaving a group removes your content from that group's future feeds
6. How We Share Your Information
Service providers we use
- Railway (cloud hosting and database)
- Cloudinary (photo storage and delivery)
- Expo (mobile app delivery)
- Stripe (payment processing for Pro subscriptions)
Legal requirements
We may disclose your information if required by law or to protect user safety.
Business transfers
If Circl Technologies LLC is acquired, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
7. Data Retention
- Account data retained as long as account is active
- Deleted posts removed within 30 days
- Request full deletion by emailing hello@thezovi.com
- Deletion requests processed within 30 days
8. Your Rights
- Access — request a copy of your personal data
- Correction — update inaccurate information via the app
- Deletion — request deletion of your account and data
- Portability — request your data in a portable format
- Opt out — of non-essential communications

9. Children's Privacy
Zovi is not intended for users under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If discovered, we will delete it immediately.
